Inside the Ethiopian Bible

The eighty-one books, the ones your Bible quotes, and what really happened to them

Press play · Open the Bible. Read what we skipped. Then decide for yourself.

Read this first

Two minutes. One verse.

You do not need to trust this book. You need a Bible and two minutes.

Jude 14–15 · KJV

“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied… Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.”

1 Enoch 1:9 · R. H. Charles, 1912

“And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones to execute judgement upon all…”

Set them side by side. Jude names the man he is quoting, says the man prophesied, and gives the prophecy that opens the Book of Enoch. That fact—not a rumor—is where this study begins.

A word from your guide

From Pastor Amos

“You don’t have to impress people with the Bible. You have to help them understand it.”

This guide is about the Ethiopian Bible, the largest Bible any church uses, and the books in it that yours does not have. Some of what you have heard is true. Some is not. Every chapter aims to show the evidence plainly enough for you to check it yourself.

Where scholars disagree, the guide says so. Where the answer is unknown, it says that too. The goal is not to hand you a slogan. It is to open the book and let you see.

One thing before you go

Read Jude fourteen for yourself.

Then decide whether the eighty-one-book Bible, the texts it preserved, and the history behind them deserve a closer look.
